Non-profits, especially those run by volunteers such as the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs, and Friends of Lovers Key Sate Park, have to work very hard to garner financial support for their cause. The Lovers Key Nautical Flea Market and Boat Show will be a three-day event requiring a huge number of volunteers, and volunteer hours, to realize.

First step in getting out the news about the event – a website. The site design was developed from conversations with the client who wanted the beautiful photos of Lovers Key State Park taken by Pamela Jones-Morton, PhD to dominate the site. The logo was created by Len Eckert, and it inspired the colors for the site theme which was customized from Bon Appétit, a WordPress theme by WooCommerce.

PV Booster Clubs annual fundraiser supports Academics, Arts, and Athletics at Palos Verdes High School - HTML/CSS website developed by Patricia Gill saidthespider.netThe PV Booster Club website was looking a bit tired, and was a challenge to update for the continually changing roster of parent volunteers. As webmaster for pvhigh.com, which is supported by the Booster Club, I was asked to develop, host, and maintain a site with a fresher appearance. The site was developed in HTML/CSS.

Pages were added to provide information about the Catch the Wave event, The Booster Club’s major annual fundraiser. Catch the Wave pages were styled to coordinate with the event theme for the year. Members and supporters could make donations, and buy tickets for the dinner event using PayPal.

As a former Kiwanian and founding member of the Kiwanis Club of Rolling Hills Estates, their work is close to my heart. In addition to the high school Key Clubs and Kiwins sponsored by KRHE, all youth who receive benefits from the Club are encouraged to become independent, contributing citizens.  KRHE fundraising efforts result in college scholarships for local students, new shoes and backpacks of supplies for children heading back to school, Food for Children, and so much more. In order that more of the funds they raise can go directly to the program recipients, I am honored to have developed, and maintain this website without cost to the Club.
